Creative Writing Competition

KS3 and 4 were given the opportunity to enter an inter-school competition on the theme of

Dystopia as part of the whole school Literacy drive. Planned by the Literacy Coordinator,

Mrs Mahmud, Lesson plans and planning material were sent out to Learning Tutors, English

Teachers as well as posters being displayed in form classes and around the school. As a

result, there were a large number of entries, all of which were a pleasure to read and judge.

However, there only could be one winner and 2 runners up for both KS3 and 4 for Stretford

High. These were:

 

KS3:

1 st Place: £20 Amazon Voucher: Jude Ojomog

2 nd Place: £10 Amazon Voucher: Razeenah Nagdee

3 rd Place: £5 Amazon Voucher: Euan Beckett

 

KS4:

1 st Place: £20 Amazon Voucher: Aimee Monaghan

2 nd Place: £10 Amazon Voucher: Danish Amin

3 rd Place: £5 Amazon Voucher: Mina Karadakhy

 

Once the Stretford High winners were determined, the 1 st place entries went onto an inter-

school competition against 6 other Manchester schools.

Stretford High demonstrated the talent that they have as Jude Ojomoh won yet again 1 st

prize in the KS3 category, receiving an additional £30 Amazon Voucher and Aimee

Monaghan won 2 nd prize in the KS4 category, receiving another £20 Amazon Voucher.

All entrants have received 25 House Points each and proved their eagerness by taking part

in the competition. Well done!
