Manchester United Foundation uses football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live. Dedicated staff deliver football coaching, educational programmes and personal development, providing young people with opportunities to change their lives for the better.
The Foundation work together with staff to deliver curriculum-based sessions to engage pupils and help develop both physical and life skills. The partnership also works towards developing leaders and nurturing potential in students.
Stretford High School has been a Manchester United Foundation partner school since 2011. The Manchester United Foundation is a charitable organisation that works with schools to deliver motivational and inspiring projects to our students, with the goal of helping them to reach their full potential. As well as helping to develop community activities and create lasting partnerships between community groups and authorities. In order to ensure that the safety and welfare of our students is properly safeguarded and that projects are delivered in an efficient manner, we provide Manchester United Foundation with basic information about each student taking part in those projects. This information includes the student’s name, date of birth, gender and basic details of any disabilities or medical conditions which may affect their ability to take part in the projects or necessitate any special adjustments being made. We may also provide emergency contact details if required. Any information we supply to Manchester United Foundation is securely held and is used only for the purposes of delivering the projects and evaluating their success. All information is processed and safeguarded strictly in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
