Last night was the first round of the Trafford North Year 8 Basketball competition.
Our team had recently been formed and were new to playing together.  This did not stand in the way of them performing with great effort, enthusiasm and energy.
Stretford Grammar were a force to be reckoned with but our defensive strategies paid off as we kept them to only 3 baskets, narrowly missing out on a win by 2 baskets.
St. Anthony’s were next and put up a good fight but we got some amazing shots in and managed to get a win.
We put up an amazing effort against Urmston, it was a very close game with Urmston edging us out by one basket.
Flixton was our last game and both teams were hungry for the win, our girls were tired but never showed it, grit and determination kicked in and we pulled together for an amazing 6-4 win, Humaira scoring the last basket.
We came an amazing third place overall, well done ladies!  Special thanks to Otto Malone for all his help with training!

Year 9 Options Meetings March 2017 – Parent Voice

It has come to our attention that parents are using the private car park at the Lancastrian office building on the corner of Great Stone Road and Talbot Road both in the morning and afternoon to drop off/pick up pupils.
The entrance to that car park is an extreme blind spot and the building owners have advised that there have been multiple occasions where vehicles have almost collided with pupils of the school as well as parents in their vehicles. We share the building owners’ concern that the longer this continues, the greater the risk a collision and injury happening.
The message has been clearly shared with School that  this car park is not to be used to drop-off and pick up Students and I would appreciate your support in respecting this message.
