Cup Final Victory!
Stretford High School year 7 students, Kane and Damien, took part and won their cup final football match between Urmston and Wilmslow.
Kane’s summary of the match:
“The first half was dramatic, the opposite team Wilmslow scored a wonder goal from about 17 yards right into the bottom corner: 1 nil.
The second goal came 10 minutes later Urmston town midfield put it in the top corner from just outside the penalty box after going round 3 players.
The third goal of the was another one for Urmston town, a cross came in, the keeper makes a right mess of it and their midfielder scored the tap in .
The second half went right to the wire the last goal wasn’t until 10 minutes before the end where Kane and Damien came on, both players go to Stretford High. Damien wins the ball passes it to Kane, Kane passes it to a midfielder and the winger smashes it from about 25 yard into the top corner.
After the match both teams shook hands and went to collect the runners up medals for Wilmslow and winners mini trophy’s for all of Urmston town and big team trophy all of Urmston town celebrated madly.”
