Education Question Time

There was an Education Question Time in the PEXA theatre on Friday evening. The local candidates in the upcoming General Election attended for the following parties: Labour, Lib Dem, UKIP, Christian Peoples’ Alliance and the Green party. Sadly, the Conservative candidate did not attend. We were also joined by the national head of the NUT and the national head of the NAHT.

The questions from the audience were excellent and the whole event was very worthwhile. I’d like you to know that the following SHS students attended the event:

I was so pleased to see our students there (and for them to hear a particularly good discussion regarding the lack of social mobility from expanding Grammar schools).

They will all receive official certificates from the NUT for attending and contributing.
