Year 7 Basketball

Our Year 7s embarked on their 2nd basketball fixture of the season tonight, playing St Ambrose College.

The score line didn’t reflect the efforts from the team with the final numbers on the board recording a loss of 8-30; however Mrs Bailey who was coaching the team (alongside the star of the week Year 8 student O’Neil might we add) reflected on the game:

“We lost the year 7 Basketball 8-30; however, looking at the positives they were down 2-18 in the first half which meant in the 2nd half they defended far better and were able to score more (6-12). Special mention to O’Neil for coaching the team and organising the warm up drills, my  of the week”

So eloquently put I think! As you can see, progress is being made with this team…they are definitely one to watch!
