Your Trafford basketball team…

We took 12 of our finest young men down to the National Basketball Performance Centre to represent Trafford and, my goodness, they did!

Winning all the games, bar 1, in the group stages put us through to the semi-finals. Getting to that stage wasn’t easy, our games were hard and the lads played some fantastic basketball; really demonstrating an immensely high standard of team work, skill and determination.

We unfortunately lost our semi final, against the eventual winner, but even though we didn’t walk away as competition winners, each and everyone one of those lads pictured have genuinely shown what they are made of. They have truly earned my respect and should you encounter them at all tomorrow, please do offer them the highest level of praise.

Special mention to captain Ceejay – you truly are a born leader and should be proud of yourself and your team!
