SHS News 21/11/25 (click the below link for the full version of this week’s newsletter)
Thank you to all who attended Year 9 Parents’ Evening — your involvement is invaluable as students prepare to choose their KS4 subjects. If you have any follow-up questions, please contact your child’s form tutor or subject teachers.
A reminder that Friday 28 November is Wellbeing Day, and students are not in school. Families are encouraged to try simple wellbeing activities at home, including breathing exercises, tech-free time, tidy study spaces, good sleep routines, effort-based praise, small study targets, and opportunities for positive family connection.
Year 11 are midway through their mock exams, and they may be feeling tired or stressed. Support them with steady routines, calm encouragement, simple night-before preparation, and brief post-exam check-ins. Please let the school know if anything is affecting their wellbeing or attendance.
The Headteacher, Mrs Doward, also shares an update regarding a recent permanent exclusion, which was upheld by Governors to maintain safety and wellbeing across the school community. Stretford High’s behaviour expectations apply at all times — in school, in the community, on the journey to and from school and online — and the school will always act to keep students safe.
Thank you for your continued support.
