End of Term Newsletter: A Celebration of Our School Community
As we approach the final days of the academic year and prepare to break up for the summer holidays, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly remarkable year. This newsletter is a celebration of everything our students, staff, and families have achieved together, and a look ahead to an exciting, enrichment-filled final week.
Global Connections: Living Our CARE Values
We were absolutely delighted recently to welcome visitors from our sister schools in China: Jiangsu Province Changshu High School and Changshu Kuncheng Middle School.
It was wonderful to watch our students build cross-cultural bonds and create lasting friendships. This visit perfectly exemplified the ‘C’ in our CARE values—Community. Extending our community globally reminds us all of the power of connection and mutual respect. Thank you to everyone who made our guests feel so incredibly welcome.
Celebrating Our Award Winners
A huge congratulations to all the students who have been recognised in our end-of-year CARE Awards and Academic Awards.
A Note on our CARE Evening: Sadly, due to the recent adverse heat conditions, we were unable to come together safely for our traditional CARE celebration evening. While we were deeply disappointed not to share this moment in person, it in no way diminishes the immense achievements of these students. We are incredibly eager to highlight and praise their hard work here.
These accolades celebrate individuals who have been true role models throughout the year. Whether it is for consistently trying their absolute best, demonstrating exceptional dedication to their studies, or showing a wonderful willingness to engage in school life, you have set a fantastic example for us all. We are incredibly proud of you.
An Action-Packed Final Week
We are ending the year on a high with a fantastic line-up of enrichment activities designed to celebrate our school community:
-
The Summer Fair: A wonderful opportunity to come together, have some fun, and celebrate the sunshine.
-
Sports Day: A day of healthy competition, teamwork, and cheering each other on.
-
Enrichment Day & Trips Out: A brilliant chance for students to step outside the traditional classroom, venture out on excursions, explore new environments, and develop new skills.
These events are a brilliant way to wrap up the year, focusing on joy, collaboration, and community spirit.
Looking After Ourselves This Summer
While achieving our goals is important, looking after our well-being is vital. Especially with the intense summer heat we’ve been experiencing, I encourage every single student to take a well-deserved break and really look after themselves. Please stay safe in the sun, keep hydrated, step away from the screens, and take this time to truly recharge your batteries
Thank you to all our parents and carers for your unwavering support over the past year. To our staff, thank you for your endless hard work and dedication. And to our students, thank you for making our school such a vibrant, inspiring place to be.
Have a wonderful, safe, and restful summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming you all back in September!
Take CARE
