Welcome back to a brand-new half term! I hope you all had a restful break and are feeling refreshed, re-energised, and ready for another exciting chapter at Stretford High School. This half term, our focus word is READY – ready to learn, ready to achieve, and ready to be our very best every single day.

READY: Our Uniform DriveWe’ve launched our ‘Ready’ Uniform Drive, and the response from students has been absolutely fantastic. Walking around school, I’ve seen students taking real pride in their appearance – shirts tucked in, ties smart, blazers on, and ready for your learning. Thank you to parents and carers for your ongoing support in helping students meet our high standards and start each day in the right way.

Attendance Reset – Every Day Counts – A new half term means a fresh start for everyone. Now is the perfect time to reset attendance and punctuality. Every lesson matters, and being in school every day gives your child the best chance to achieve their potential. Let’s make this half term our strongest attendance yet!

Go Green and Gold for Rewards – We’ve been thrilled by the enthusiasm and commitment you’ve shown towards our new rewards system during Half Term 1. The number of students striving for Green and Gold achievements has been inspiring – your positive attitude, support and engagement truly make Stretford High a special place.

Every student has the chance to shine this half term – it’s all about making positive choices, showing kindness, and striving to be their best self each day.

Finally, a huge thank you to all our students and families for your outstanding support and engagement with our rewards system so far. It’s been amazing to see how motivated everyone has been to go Green and Gold, and we can’t wait to celebrate even more success stories at the end of this half term.

Let’s make Half Term 2 one to remember – be Ready, be Respectful, be Safe, and let’s all go Green and Gold together!

Thank you for your continuing support.
